Cultural Peru

We have visited Peru in a 9-days flyby trip: 4 days in buses, 1 day in Lima, 2 days filled with culture and 2 days relaxing on the beach. But it was worth it and you can read about it in our update under Peru.
In the meantime we've arrived in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and this afternoon we booked a trip to the Galapagos islands! As of this coming Friday we'll spend 8 days on a boat visiting the islands and you'll read all about that experience in a next update.

Bye bye Bolivia

Did you ever wonder where the sun was born? Well, we went to see that
place, Isla del Sol in Lake Titicaca. We also saw dense jungle,
dangerous animals and survived a mountain bike tour. All that in a last
update under Bolivia. For those who are interested, the July edition of
National Geographic magazine has two interesting stories and great
pictures about the places we've been to in Bolivia.

We've finally managed to leave Bolivia and are now in Peru where we're
visiting the north coast.

We´re still in Bolivia

The site has been down for 2 days due to server problems, and we´ve
been down as well...in the jungle! We´re still there enjoying the heat
and the animals, so you´ll read more about that in another update. For
now, you can read about our adventures of the past 2 weeks: the
silvermines in Potosi and the salt flats of Uyuni. Look under Bolivia
for a new story and pictures.
