Who are we?

We are Jeroen (33yrs) and Marloes (31yrs) from The Netherlands. Until our trip starts, we have lived and worked in Bonn, Germany, for around 2 years.

Besides skiing, sailing and photography, we love to travel and have already visited many countries, mainly in Europe, North- and South America, during holidays. We have now planned an 8-month trip to several countries. During this big trip in 2008 we want to travel again to South America; somehow the culture, language and people attract us enough to return once more. But we also plan to visit Nepal, hopefully Tibet, Japan and Central America.

How did we come to this plan? In November 2006 we visited Argentina and during the last days of that wonderful holiday we were contemplating what we wanted to do with our lives in the near future. We wanted to see many more countries in a backpacking way and in a speed that would allow us to see more of a country than when rushing through in 3 weeks. That is when the plan was born to travel for a longer time and return back to The Netherlands after the trip.
