History in El Salvador

Some people told us there was nothing in El Salvador, we have a different opinion. It's a very small country without astonishing nature, but very interesting nonetheless with very friendly people. Read all about it under El Salvador.

Just a few more days and we're in the US, looking forward to meet our friends there. In 2,5 weeks, we'll fly back on the 25th from San Francisco, via London to Amsterdam.

Peaceful Nicaragua

The last 2 weeks we've spent in Nicaragua. A former warzone, but now very much in peace, with friendly people, beautiful nature and remote places where we sometimes were the only tourists around. There was much to tell you about what we saw and did, so look under Nicaragua for a longer update, pictures and 2 movies.

Right now we're enjoying our last 2 weeks in Latin America, visiting El Salvador. Time is flying, we have to plan our days now, because we can't do or see everything anymore. We're enjoying our last weeks here, but also look forward to going to the US and going home after that.

Pura Vida!

We´ve exchanged modern Costa Rica for poor Nicaragua. Don´t worry, the
war is over for more than 15 years and according to some statistics the
country is the second safest in the hemisphere, just behind Canada.
Enjoy the update about Costa Rica and keep posting messages in our
guestbook! ;) It´s always the first page we look at when we have
internet.

Animal Day in August

We left Panama a bit earlier than expected, mainly due to the rain.
We're now in Costa Rica, enjoying even more rain. In a new update under
Panama you can read what we did the last days there.

In the meantime we're travelling quickly through Costa Rica, as the cost
of living is very high compared to what we've been used to so far and
too high for our budget. We hope Nicaragua will be cheaper again, also
beause we extended our stay with 2 weeks, planning to return to Holland
on Saturday October 25.

Relaxing in Panama

Somehow it seems we're getting more and more in the relax mode lately.
Every town we come to we say "let's do nothing for a few days". And
Panama is the perfect country for that. You can now read about this
easygoing-time in a new update under Panama.

We hear about a lot of rain in Europe, well, that's the same here.
It's rainy season and that means every day a tropical downpour in the
afternoon. However, the temperatures here remain a bit warmer than in
Europe, around 30C.
Currently we're in a small town in the mountains and in a couple of
days we'll move on to Costa Rica.
